Mark Trimble BSc (Acc) ACA
Manager
An Accounting graduate of Queen’s University, Belfast, Mark joined Jones Peters in 2001 as part of the Jones Peters Chartered Accountant trainee programme, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2005. Internal promotion to Manager followed in 2006.
Mark is engaged in all aspects of general practice within Jones Peters. His responsibilities include the provision of audit, accountancy and advisory services to a wide range of clients. Mark is also engaged in the provision of consultancy services including preparation of Business Plans and Financial packages in support of funding applications for financial institutions and government bodies.
Mark also provides support to all accountancy trainees and liaises with Chartered Accountants Ireland and other Professional bodies in relation thereto.
Sammy Vage - ACMA, CGMA
Manager
Sammy joined Jones Peters in 1982 and is the longest serving member of staff. Sammy qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1992 and was appointed Manager in the same year.
Sammy is primarily responsible for the financial and administrative management of Jones Peters.
The provision of management consultancy services to Jones Peters' clients is another major role with particular emphasis on computerized management information systems involving various Sage products.
Louise Jones – BA ( Hons ) ACA , Dip. Forensic Acc
General Practice Manager
After graduating with a degree in accountancy from the University of Ulster, Louise joined an influential chartered accountancy firm in Belfast. Here she gained valuable experience in all areas of accountancy and quickly earned her position as senior auditor, working principally with the firms key clients. Louise qualified as a chartered accountant in 2008 with the Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Following eight years in her previous post, Louise joined Jones Peters in 2011. In her role as General Practice Manager, Louise is primarily responsible for the provision of audit, accountancy and advisory services to a wide range of clients. Louise is also engaged in the provision of consultancy services, which include preparation of Business Plans and Financial packages in support of funding applications for financial institutions and government bodies.
Louise is also responsible for ensuring that partners, managers and staff are kept up to date with technical changes and ensuring that the practice as a whole is technically compliant.
Ronan Mc Givern– BA ( Hons ) ACA
Director
An accountancy graduate of University of Ulster, Jordanstown, Ronan joined Jones Peters in 2004 as part of the Jones Peters Chartered Accountants trainee programme, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2008. Internal promotion to assistant tax manager followed in 2010.
Ronan is engaged in all aspects of taxation services within Jones Peters. Ronan specialises in the areas of personal tax, corporate taxation and VAT.
Stephen Jones
Director
After graduating with a degree in business studies and a post graduate diploma in accountancy from the University of Ulster, Stephen joined Jones Peters as a trainee in 2010. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2014 and in 2015 he left to gain further experience within practice while working with KPMG and another well-established firm in Newry. He returned in 2019 as a General Practice Manager and currently is a Director within the Practice.
Stephen specialises in the provision of audits, accountancy, advisory services and all aspects of client management for small and medium-sized enterprises, spanning many sectors including construction, retail, engineering, manufacturing, professional practices and medical practitioners. Stephen is frequently engaged in the provision of consultancy services, which include preparation of Business Plans and Financial packages in support of funding applications for financial institutions and government bodies.
